Music has always been not only a form of entertainment, but a much needed help in many of the other fields of study in schools as well. It makes learning other subjects like math and reading fun for younger children, through songs and other helpful techniques, but that's not all. It also develops better study skills, cognitive skills, and communication skills in middle school and high school students.
Music is an essential part of public schools and should remain that way. If the school boards are looking for places to cut money from, the music programs are not the answer.
We the people of the United States call on the School Boards across the United States to stop cutting money from their schools' music programs and laying off professionals in the field of music to save money.
