Katherine Rhea Courtney was convicted of aggravated murder in the point blank shooting death of Robert Michael Dean and sentenced to life in prison.
During her trail she did not take responsibility for her crime even though her own daughter and future son-in-law testified as eyewitnesses to the fact that she did indeed shoot Robert Michael Dean to death in the driveway of his own home. Nor did she express any remorse.
Katherine Rhea Courtney has a proven history of violence as evidenced, (prior to her murder of Robert Michael Dean) by complaints filed against her in Clermont County, Ohio relating to other threats of violence concerning the use of a handgun.
She has shown herself to be a threat to society as she responds to life's disappointments with deadly violence.
