As Auckland City has decided without proper public consultation to have all pools in the previous Manukau Area have charges for pools for people 16 yrs and older and also people with disabilities at a reduced cost any cost is unjustified due to these pools and subsidised by ratepayers and dividends received from Auckland Airport shares should be taken into account.
They have been free for many years and increased support by families for Health and Economic reasons has endorsed an important necessity for families in Manukau.
We the undersigned support the continued free access to all people to Manukau Pools for Health and Economic Reasons as we the people of Manukau have alreay paid for this service through our rates and dividends through our Airport Shares which continue to be received on our behalf through Council.
Proper Public Consultation was not forthcoming and our families with disabilities and an inability to pay should not be penalised for these unjust decisions made by Auckland City Council.
