This petition to lower the cost of petrol costs in the UK will be handed in at 10 Downing Street on 31st Decemeber 2008.
The UK has clearly been hit the hardest by the petrol price increases, with a rise of 20% compared to the rest of Europe which has risen by 14% or lower.
Dear Prime Minister,
You must lower petrol prices.
I urge you to take immediate action to ensure that petrol prices are reduced from their average of 128.8p per litre for diesel and 115.8p per litre for petrol to 95p per litre.
We urge you to work with the international community to lower fuel costs in the UK as they are unsustainable to the individual, given that UK residents are already the highest tax payers in Europe.
