Sarah Newton, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Falmouth expressed her concerns about the news that severe cuts are still going to happen in Falmouth.
In a statement she said, “I am pleased for Camborne but this is a disaster for Falmouth. I very am concerned about the effect it will have on the docks and the safety of the entire area. Penryn, Truro and many surrounding villages all depend on the 24 hour protection of Falmouth”.

To Cornwall County Council
The petition of the residents of Cornwall declares that we feel greater funding should be spent on Fire Services in the County and that 24 hour cover should be retained in Falmouth.
The Petitioners therefore request that the County Council works with the Fire Brigade, the unions and other relevant people to resolve this issue.
