Germain Leonard was tragically taken from us on July 7, 2012 when the car he was traveling in collided with a bakkie.
Germain, fondly called Mother G, Germ, Twism and many more was a wonderful person always smiling, laughing and talking and when I say talking I mean talking-he loved talking lol...
A UKZN: Edgewood College graduate who loved his career as a teacher and coach at Westville Boys High School. He loved his students and always motivated them to do better.
He will be missed by many; his family, his friends, his fellow educators and most importantly by his students.
We, the undersigned ask that the driver of the other vehicle be brought to justice as this is not the first time that he has been involved in such a crime.
"Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane confirmed that the driver of the bakkie, Mario Colling (34), was arrested and appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court yesterday on charges of culpable homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. He is currently out on bail.
This will not bring our loving Germain back to us but it will prevent this from happening again to innocent people. Mario Colling needs to pay for his crime.
