The Human Rights Campaign took in almost 39,000,000 dollars last year and has been taking in political contributions from individuals and corporations alike for years, all while states one by one have passed laws banning gays and lesbians the same rights and protections as their straight counterparts.
The recent passage of California's Proposition 8 is just the latest in a series of setbacks. Their failed strategy of only addressing federal issues while treating state issues as secondary has occurred long enough.
Joe Solomnese should resign from HRC and the board find a director more suited to the times and battles we face.
