Over the last four years the information and advice service based in Gilfach Goch has assisted disadvantaged members of the community in accessing benefits, maximising income, source training and find employment.
The welsh assembly government has now decided that Gilfach Goch does not need an information and advice service to support this community and are ending this service on March 31st 2009. We have always tried to assist as many members of the community as possible and have been successful in bringing over £1,000,000 in benefit entitlements back into this community.
If you feel that there is still a huge demand for this service, or have used this service, we would be very grateful for your support at this time.
We, the undersigned, call on the Welsh Assembly Government (Communities Next) to continue to fund the information and advice service based in Gilfach Goch as we feel that it is of major importance to the success of this community and in assisting members of this community to maximise their income, improve their health and well being, reduce child poverty and assist in regaining employment.
