Background (Preamble):
With the recent news of the pending closure of Aberbargoed indoor skatepark- another in a line of indoor skateparks within the surrounding area of Cardiff-something needs to be done to help the community of young people, skateboarders, inline and bmx riders in south Wales. It is not acceptable for the capital city of Wales to be lacking such a vital recreational area.
Petition:
We the undersigned call on Cardiff City Council to take action in providing young people and the local community in the centre of Cardiff with a vital skatepark preferably an indoor skatepark.
We agree it is not acceptable for the capital city of Wales to be lacking such a vital recreational area that provides such a positive influence for young people and enjoyment for the wider public who wish to use such facilities.
