The Rainbow Warrior (sometimes Rainbow Warrior III) is a purpose-built motor-assisted sailing yacht owned and operated by Greenpeace and intended for use in their activities such as environmental protests and scientific excursions. She was christened on October 14, 2011,[3] and will replace the Rainbow Warrior II after further upgrades and maintenance of the older ship has been shown to be impractical.[4]
The vessel is the first Rainbow Warrior that is not converted from another vessel. She was built in Germany, with the intention to both provide state of the art facilities for the group's use, including advanced telecommunication equipment, specialised scientific equipment and a helicopter landing pad. The ship is also designed to be one of the "greenest" ships afloat. It runs primarily using wind power, with a 55ft mast system which carries 1255 sq meters of sail and is backed up by a "state-of-the-art hybrid". On board the ship can store up to 59 cubic meters of greywater and black water, avoiding the need for disposal at sea. All materials, from the paintwork to the insulation, have been chosen with a view to sustainability, and each component has been supplied with transparent ethical sourcing.[2]

India should have a one more Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior in Indian Navy or at least in Indian waters. The Rainbow Warrior had sent back clemencau the french toxic ship that came to along for breaking.
The Greenpeace Rainbow warrior also helped to supply relief aid after tsunami in dec 2004. All the developed countries e.g. netherlands have a rainbow warrior and there is Greenpeace Rainbow warrior in the pacific ocean.
It should be apart of navy because it is bombed and the crew are harpooned. Greenpeace Rainbow warrior 3 The ship was in part funded by a crowd funding project set up by Greenpeace.
India should build a Rainbow warrior and support Greenpeace and UNEP.
