The Minimum Wage in Ontario has been sitting at the rate of $10.25 since March 31, 2010. Thats over 2 1/2 years without an increase. The cost of living has gone up since then. Rent, Food, Gas, pretty much everything has gone up in price.
Not everyone can afford to go to college or university to get a degree to get a high paying salary job and they shouldn't have to work 2 - 3 jobs in Ontario to be able to survive in this province but thats how people who live off minimum wage have to because its impossible to survive off a minimum wage job.
We are asking the Ontario Government to be fair to the citizens of this province and to raise the minimum wage by a substantial amount to at least $12.50/hr.
