INCREASE CBO'S MANAGEMENT AND PROJECT TEAMS' STIPENDS IN PROGRAMME 2 OF DSDWCPD IN NORTH WEST

This serves to voice out disatisfaction with the minimum stipend wage of R1287 for project management and members alike were CBO's work immensely and effortlessly in bringing developmental social welfare through advocacy on drug abuse.
The DSDWCPD talks of welfare but ignore welfare of CBO members relating to decent and reasonable stipend allocation.
We thus recommend stipend brackets to be increased from 1287 to R5000 - R10 000.00 depending on skill, experoience, competency and qualification of project management members and its project team.
We, as Substance Abuse Prevention CBO's in North West Call on the DSDWCPD to look into inhumane across the board stipend brackets offered by Special Needs directorate for management members of these CBO's.
