People belonging to a minority are protected from attacks for belonging to a minority. Race, Sexuality and Sub-Cultures are protected under Hate-Crime Laws.
However people who belong to certain political parties are being attacked, verbally and physically at polling stations and in everyday life just for exercising their democratic right to vote.
We the undersigned believe that attacks on people (physical and verbal) for their political conviction, membership to a political party or intent to vote for a political party, should be included in the list of Hate-Crimes.
We believe people have a democratic right to support any political party they choose without fear of being attacked.
