Background (Preamble):
Saint Louis County Highways and Traffic Department has skipped procedural steps in order to attain money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 that is desperately needed in actually distressed areas of the county and state.
The project has not properly considered the short or long term environmental impacts of the proposed 6-lane highway that will be tunneled and elevated throughout wetlands along the preferred route. We ask that the County take the necessary precautions and consider exactly how the project will impact the entire area using current conditions and data.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, demand that a comprehensive Environmental Impact Study be completed for current wetland and creek conditions from Creve Coeur Park to St. Luke's Drive for the Highway 141 Relocation and Expansion projects before construction can begin.
