This petition aims to stop the development of Yumbahs Abalone farm on our beautiful Dutton Way currently zoned Rural Living.
Covering an area larger than 10 times the size of the MCG, the project wants to send 20 large pipes across our beach and into the sea, capable of extracting 8660 litres of seawater every second.
This project will not only directly affect hundreds of families adjoining this huge development, but also the residents of the Glenelg Shire and its visitors. With the Dutton Way emerging as a Southern Right Whale Nursery, and a playground for locals is this something we want to put in jeopardy.
We, the undersigned wish to object to Planning Permit Application No. P18147 and Works Approval Application 1003316 (Yumbah Aquaculture facility Dutton Way)
