In New Zealand, 1 in 4 Kiwi Kids live in poverty.
We believe it is a great injustice that many of these children are disadvantaged at school, because they don't have enough to eat at home or they can't go to school when its raining because they don't have a jacket. Research and investigations have shown that some children go to school with little or no lunch at all.
We believe this type of thing should not exist in 'God's Own Country.'
We, the people of Wellington, call on the New Zealand Government to take action on Child Poverty. We demand that the Government spend more money on this issue, so child poverty in New Zealand is dramatically reduced, and in the long-term, completely eliminated.
