Restore our Pride and Help our Heroes

Now the World Cup is over (phew I hear some of you say!), I'd like to put forward an idea that might save some face for our own country's pitiful display. If I could draw you attention to our county's amazing armed forces, putting their neck on the line for all of our freedoms.

Whether you agree with what they are fighting for or not, you might just remember that they are doing so on the say so of our 'leaders' and for them it's a job of work that they do with dedication and they make us proud with their professionalism and determination.

We have veterans and enlisted men and women struggling to support their families, and in my humble opinion, if our arguably overpaid footballers would forgo a week's wages - a mere drop in the ocean to them - maybe we might gain some respect back for them and help our boys and girls who protect us from near and far.

So if you're as disillusioned with the state of English football as I am, or just want to help our amazing armed forces, please sign this petition and share it.
