In the face of hatred and fear, and and during these trying times, it is our legacy to extend helping hand to the oppressed, the helpless and the weak. America, we may forget that our roots trace back to refugees and immigrants seeking freedom and opportunity.
This great nation of ours, The United States, was built on the concept of opportunity and welcome. Instead of using this tragedy to scapegoat the Syrian refugees and blames them for a horrific actions committed by criminals, and have nothing to do with them, we call upon our elected officials to work together to end the conflict in Syria and Iraq peacefully......until that goal is achieved, we , the people of West Virginia, and the nation, must work together with the world community to provide safe haven to vulnerable and deserving refugees who are simply trying to survive.

Syrian refugees are the victim of ISIS. They are fleeing because they risk being slaughtered by these criminals, and most Syrian and Iraq refugees are women and children.
