Stefano Khalil Atteya, who goes by “Niko” is a 12 year old boy from Fayetteville who was abducted in Egypt by his non-custodial Father.

We need your help to bring him home.

Letter from Niko's Aunt:

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Olga Panagos-Kriska, I am writing to you with the hopes that you will give this matter some attention. My 11 year old nephew, Niko Atteya, his mother, Kalli Atteya, and aunt, Maria Pagnagos, all U.S. citizens, went to Egypt to visit the family of Niko’s father Mohamed Atteya, for the first time. They spent two days together in Egypt and on the third day (August 1,2011) en route to the families town, the father (Mohamed) claimed they were having car issues. When they pulled over along the street to check, Mohamed pushed Kalli and Maria out of the car and sped off with Niko banging on the windows for his mom and aunt. Niko has medical conditions and on top of all the trauma that this ordeal put on him, he has never been away from his mom and spent very little time with his father growing up.

We are unsure of Niko’s current well being. He is alone in a strange country with strange people, not understanding the language or anything. We are currently in touch with U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Egypt, however, there is very little progress being made due to various laws Egypt has.

Our goal is to have the government in both countries involved and to spread the news on this issue so others may become involved as well. My sisters Kalli Atteya and Maria Panagos will remain in Egypt until Niko is brought back to them. If you know of any contacts that may be of help to us, please,

I beg you to find it in your hearts to help us work past these laws so Niko can be brought back to his mother and family here in the States as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Olga Kriska

We, the undersigned, are requesting that the US Embassy in Egypt and the US Department of State do everything in their power to bring Stefano Khalil Atteya, "Niko", home to US immediately. Reunite him with his mother in Egypt, and stop hiding behind the bureaucratic red tape. Niko and his mother, Kalli Atteya, and aunt, Maria Pagnagos are all United States citizens and deserve your immediate attention.

They have now been over there for more than a year waiting on you to get Niko back to them. The following people are aware of the injustice going on here and are asking you to bring Niko home now.
