Background (Preamble):
Run-of-river hydroelectric projects and their construction have an enormous ecological footprint on some of our Province's most environmentally sensitive areas, its free-flowing rivers and creeks.
The changes outlined above will ensure that British Columbia´s rivers and creeks are protected for generations to come.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, request the British Columbia Provincial Government change the current practices affecting BC’s free flowing watercourses (rivers and creeks).
We ask for the following:
A province-wide environmental assessment concerning the cumulative effects of run-of-river hydroelectric projects.
A temporary halt of all run-of-river hydroelectric projects pending the results of the above assessment.
A mandatory environmental assessment for every run-of-river hydroelectric projects within British Columbia.
Reverse Bill 30 rulings pertaining to new energy projects and municipalities right to accept or refuse run-of-river hydroelectric projects operations.
We ask for the following:
