Fringe is a sci-fi TV series created by J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci that first aired in September 2008. It follows the investigations of "Fringe Division" a team based in Boston that looks into unusual phenomenon using unorthodox "fringe" science.
One of the main focus of the Fringe team's investigation concerns "the Pattern", a series of unexplained occurrences with sometimes terrible consequences. The show, itself groundbreaking, reflects techniques and plotlines from various past groundbreaking shows such as The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone, and Dark Angel.
One of the characters in Fringe is that of Astrid Farnsworth, portrayed by Jasika Nicole. This character has yet to be used to the full extent of her potential, and neither has Jasika Nicole’s talent.
In Season 2’s “Brown Betty”, Fringe fans discovered that their resident quite yet brilliant assistant had a beautiful singing voice, of which they were only treated to for a couple of seconds. And so, while Fringe fans are looking forward to seeing Jasika Nicole’s screen time as Astrid and Alt-Astrid increase in Season 3, they are also looking to hear more of her singing, too.
Understandably so, Fringe cannot possibly be the showcase of Jasika Nicole’s singing talent. Thankfully, Fox is parent to another hit show, Glee, where Fringe fans would love to see their lovely Jasika Nicole stretch her vocal cords!
We, the undersigned fans of Fringe, petition the Glee Production Team to cast Jasika Nicole as a recurring character in Glee. Her great acting skill combined with fantastic singing as well as an enthusiasm that bubbles through every interview she gives make her an ideal candidate for what is known as the feel-good show of 2009-2010.
