Petition Background (Preamble):
Burma is controlled by a military Dictatorship, which has resisted attempts at political and Democratic Reform. It has refused to negotiate with the main Opposition Parties and has Jailed Aung San Suu Kyi and detained her indefinitely.
Given the Brutal Suppression of political Demonstrations aimed at reform, Burma should be expelled from ASEM- Asian Europe Meeting Organisations.

Petition:
We, the undersigned call on the UN and World Governments to release the jailed Burmese Opposition Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, and her supporters, restart the Road Map to Democracy, and expel Burma from ASEM- Asia Europe Meeting Organisation, until it starts talks on Reform.
