Forster Private Hospital nurses deserve fair pay. Pulse Health, the owner of Forster Private, has allowed our wages to fall significantly behind nurses at other local hospitals.
Nurses working at Forster Private Hospital are proud to serve the local community with our professional skills, experience, dedication and compassion. Unfortunately, our loyalty to the hospital is not being recognised or rewarded.
Nurses at Forster Private have not had a pay increase for more than two years. Pulse Health, the owner of Forster Private, has allowed our wages to fall significantly behind nurses at other local hospitals. For example, an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) at Mayo Private Hospital is paid $4.48 per hour more, and at Manning Hospital, $5 per hour more than an experienced RN at Forster Private Hospital.
Since our last Agreement expired, we have patiently tried to achieve an acceptable rate of pay by discussion and negotiation; however this has not been possible.
