These dogs are having to go to court due to a neighbor calling Animal Control because one of the dogs was in the neighborhood {no leash law}! Now Animal Control wants the dogs because an Animal Control guy says they are dangerous {he has never met them, he is going off of what his employee told them} and should be put down or the owner should go to jail! Neither of these dogs have ever bitten or harmed anyone in shape or form!
If you have ever spent time with these dogs or just want to support them please try to attend this meeting Monday December 22 at 1 pm. The dogs cant tell their story. We are the only advocates for them. They have a government employee going against them. Who wins most of these cases? We need hundreds of people because it is our word against theirs.
BTW these dogs have been evaluated by their vet and passed a AKC Canine Good Citizen Program CGC test/ Registration. We have also offered that Davie County Animal Control have a third party do an evaluation and they said NO, not unless the bite someone!
Does this make sense? Yelp that's what we are dealing with here.
We the undersigned call on Davie County Animal Control of North Carolina to stop the procedings in court to seize Hope and Bubba Makas.
Also to drop any and all charges towards this family.
