Giants - Fire Bill Sheridan

I want to thank everyone who has signed this petition. Our wish to have the Giants front office fire Defensive Coordinator Bill Sheridan has come true.

Here's the story as reported by Giants Beat Writer, Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News.

The Giants have officially fired Bill Sheridan after just one season as their defensive coordinator.

The team announced the move just a few minutes ago in a one-sentence e-mail, and it hardly comes as a surprise. For one thing, Sheridan’s first season produced the second-worst defense in Giants history. For another, just a few hours ago, co-owner John Mara made it clear that “the status quo … is not acceptable” in regards to Coughlin’s coaching staff.
