June 2014, Uruguayan and Liverpool striker Suarez was banned by FIFA from all football activity for four months, suspended for nine internationals and fined 100,000 Swiss francs (US$112,000) for biting an opposition player. Suarez bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay and Italy final World Cup 2014 group match.

Technology available to FIFA was utalized to assist making the decision for Suarez ban. There are many controversial moments in the 2014 FIFA World Cup so far and football in general that could be better served or aided if FIFA utalized the technology that is available to assist with better decision making that are more consistent to assist the sport.

Most recently in the Brazil vs Colombia World Cup 2014 Quarter Final the Colombian Juan Zúñiga’s aggressive foul on Brazil’s Neymar that fractured the stars vertebra and ruled him out of the rest of the world 2014 has gone unpunished so far.

Also the numerous poor refereeing decisions as it relates to goals scored by Hulk and Dos Santos to name a few that has been disallowed and could have been corrected with consistent use of the available technology.

We are calling on FIFA to utalise the technology available consistently to make decisions in soccer and not on an ad hoc basis.
