Thursday April 4, 2002. An interesting take on pupils behaving badly has been published by researchers at Nottingham University who think that teachers are picking favorites in class. Mainly believed to be the teacher's children.
I knew two principles one from my elementary school and one from middle school. Both had children in my school. I have an autistic cousin and in 2nd grade the Principal's son slammed his head on the side walk. 8 children saw it and the Principal (his mother) said that there wasn't enough evidence.
I personally have seen many futile attempts to be fair and I have seen many teachers pick favorites. These so called "favorites" are 97% of the time teachers children. I wasn't put in the year book in 2008 and the teachers children were plastered all over the place. I have never been in the newsletter only the teachers children are in it. Teachers children even if are dumb as a rock will get straight A's. A coincidence? I don't think so.
We, the students, call upon the adults (mainly teachers) to be fair and to care for all pupils of each school and I have met many teachers children in my life all of them were not A students and they were passing with flying colors.
The teachers turn their heads when another teachers' children do something wrong. Children need fairness!
