Amendment XIV Article I of the U.S Constitution states that "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property [. . .]"
Furthermore, under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution the U.S Constitution prohibits states from denying any person the equal protection of the laws.
Our existence is based on our U.S. Constitution which our Founding Fathers instilled on the grounds of conducting an orderly society.
We, the undersigned, request that Proposition 8 not be signed and passed based on the grounds that it violates the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution by discriminating against the Civil Rights of the people.
