Equal rights for all purebred labrador retrievers

We the undersigned know of a surety that dilute gene carrying Labradors (commonly called "Silver," "Charcoal," or "Champagne") are purebred AKC pedigree Labrador Retrievers.

We urge the LRC Board of Directors to correct its unfounded claims regarding these Labradors and vacate any proposed efforts to alter or end AKC registration privileges for these Labradors, or proposed breed standard amendments considered harmful to these Labradors.

We remind the AKC of their statements that "The foundation for the AKC registry is based on parentage and not color." And, "We [AKC] should register all Lab pups coming from purebred AKC registered Labs."

We challenge the LRC and AKC to collaborate with the Council for Purebred Labrador Retrievers to ensure these Labradors continue to be afforded all opportunities and privileges available to all AKC Labrador Retrievers.
