Currently the Euro parliament ruling that all products must be tested on rodents and NON RODENTS allows Beagle dogs and puppies, cats and kittens to be used as fodder, fed gas, poison etc and used in all manner of lethal testing and experiments.

I believe as sentient beings, who feel love, fear, pain and loyality it is totally unacceptable - even barbaric in what should be an advanced and civilized country - to allow dogs and puppies, cats and kittens to be used. As a sovereign state the United Kingdom can claim not to follow this Euro ruling and ban any form of testing and experiments using dogs and cats.

Alternatives to animals, as proposed by the Select Committee way back in 1992 are safer and more accurate than using animals, these are computer generated testing and using human cell culture (hospital waste).

We the undersigned petition the British government to legislate to the European Parliament that as a sovereign state we do not want, and will not allow, dogs and puppies, cats and kittens to be used in non rodent testing and experiments, but will use non animal alternatives such as computer generated and human cell culture research and testing.
