Musher Saleh have been living in Australia more than 10 years. He developed strong relations with Australia and different communities. He is very young and eager to further his contribution to the society. He is originally from Gaza strip. It is most likely that he will killed or harmed once deported there.
We, the undersigned Australian citizens, are watching with deep concern the minister for immigration decision to interfere in the case of Mr Musher Saleh and prevent another asylum seeker loss of life. Mr Saleh’s case is very similar to the case of Mr Akram Al Masri. The Palestinian asylum seeker was deported back to Gaza to face his death.
Anyone following the situation in Gaza can notice the clearly dangerous and volatile situation there. The people of Gaza had been engulfed in a cycle of endless suffering and life-threatening dangers.
Apart from that, Mr Saleh is very young man who successfully integrated into Australian society.
We believe that granting Mr Saleh permanent visa would end his unstable life. This would prevent another Al Masri-like fatal fate and would also enable Mr Saleh to further his contribution to the society.
