Encourage regulatory reform in our banking and lending institutions and be part of the solution by paying extra on our debts

This petition basically calls on all who have acquired debt to make an effort to pay more than the minimum payment on our debts.... whether the debt is credit cards, student loans, auto, business or mortgage debt in an effort to prevent massive failures in our governments, corporations and personal lives.
It's also a call to encourage our governments to do a better job of regulating our banking and lending institutions to prevent irresponsible and predatory lending in the future through lobbying, letters and word of mouth to friends.
We the undersigned agree to make an effort to make more than the minimum payment on any outstanding debt that we have.
We also will make an effort to encourage those around us to do the same in order to bring about stability in our governments, corporations and personal lives.
Although we realize there is plenty of blame to go around, on all levels... personal, corporate and governmental, we also know that our personal voluntary effort can be a major part of the solution and we will be leaders in this area.
Although we may have been irresponsible concerning borrowing and our finances in the past, we will make an effort to pay extra when we can on our outstanding debt, even if it's only a few extra dollars a month.
This action multiplied by millions of people in my country and in the world makes a huge difference towards keeping my country, it's corporations and it's people out of poverty and on financially solid ground and I want to be a part of that difference.
We also wish for this petition and our example through signing it to be used as an example to call on and encourage more accountability and regulatory reform concerning lending in our countries financial institutions to prevent irresponsible and reckless lending in the future.
