Background (Preamble):
Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for immediate health care in any type of medical emergency. It is their job, along with paramedics, to keep their patient alive and stable until they reach the hospital, where the patient can receive more advanced medical care.
Did you know that the in-class time requirement for EMT's is just over 100 hours?
In class, there are certain areas of information that receive less than 10 hours of attention (pediatrics, airways, operations).
Did you know that some EMT classes only recommend a high school diploma/GED, but don't require it?
Are you comfortable putting your life in the hands of someone who has the potential to be improperly trained?
