Background (Preamble):
It is unfair to change the Civil Service Rules regarding overtime pay for Emergency Call out. It is unjust to penalize an employee for authorized time off for a tragedy in his family, his civil responsibility for Jury Duty or for a Holiday that comes every year.
The dedicated, hard working employees of St. Louis County should not be asked to give up a benefit that is relied upon.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Civil Service Commission of St. Louis County, Missouri, to re-evaluate the authorized time worked in regard to Overtime pay.
We ask that this issue be put to a vote by the Civil Service Commission.
