Dog welfare in Belmont!

Dear all,

This petition is fundamental to the future of animal welfare in Belmont (Hereford) area. I have created this to encourage local government to check the area and make sure that no dogs and other furry friends are in danger. Why? A few days ago we lost our beloved 7 months old puppy. All started as a simple fever, but after 24h he wasn`t even able to hold his weight. He spent 2 nights in an intensive care at the vets, went through several fluid sessions, different doses of medication and x-ray scan - unfortunately vets were unable to diagnose the cause of this, all they knew that he had a very bad tummy/gastric infection. Unfortunately he passed away during the night on Thursday 15th May.

We lost our little friend in space of 3,5 days. Vets advised us to communicate with other people and see if there are similar stories. Sadly this wasn`t an isolated incident and others advised me of the same incident happening to their dogs. Thankfully, Belmont people are great animal lovers and my Facebook status has been shared all over Hereford. Some other people advised of rat poison being spread around the lake, if this is true - how come there are no signs or posters?

This is very heartbreaking and I won`t give up until somebody responds to this with an appropriate action.

Please can you sign if you agree with me that this area needs to be checked to make sure that our furry friends are in no danger. Together, we can show that it is a subject which deserves serious attention from our local council.
