Every child should have the right to go to Disneyland. It's permeated our American culture so much I believe this is absolutely true.
Disney, in one of the greatest recessions of our time, has committed an egregious act by raising their annual pass and daily ticket admission prices to unreachable levels. It used to be that I could dream about saving enough money to squeak through the action of pushing the BUY TICKETS button on their websites. No longer. I now cannot even fathom an eventuality that involves me being able to afford taking my children to Disneyland. It is no longer even worth the prices. The crowds are too big, the comfort level is dwindling. I have had enough.
I do not think it is right for Disney to create a situation where only the rich people of the world can attend their parks. This might fit their clean and shiny image, but it was not, and is not now Walt Disney's dream for his company to exclude so many people. I would guess that 90 percent of the world cannot afford these prices. To raise their prices so drastically in such a large financial crisis is horrific.
They have proven that they ONLY care about money and nothing else. I intend to enlist the world to change this.
We call upon Bob Iger and the rest of the Disney Corporation to lower the prices of their tickets and admission prices.
We cannot afford their astronomical prices and believe they are outrageous. No longer will we remain silent on this issue.
We believe it is wrong to exclude so many people from their parks based on their freakishly high prices. We demand change.
