Thank-you to all those who have signed this petition. Adding your voice to this vital cause puts a greater emphasis and urgency in ending this terrible practice. Two weeks ago I emailed all the embassies in Denmark that represented the countries of each person who signed this petition. I have also sent this petition to the Faroese Government, the Danish Government and Queen Margarethe Chief of Staff. I have only had one response at this stage and will update this again when I hear more. Thank-you again, Wildlife Warrior.

We, the undersigned, call upon the Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Prime Minister of the Faroese Islands Kaj Leo Johannesen and Queen Margrethe ll of Denmark to end the slaughter of whales and dolphins in the Faroe Islands.
We find the needless annual slaughter of 2000 whales and dolphins disgraceful particularly as the carcasses are dumped and left to rot.
It is time to join other European states who have outlawed this practice and recognise it as both barbaric and pointless.
