Parents and students need to be safe when crossing the street and dropping off students.
Traffic does not slow down to allow for crossing on Hacienda and there is too much morning and afternoon congestion, busses are parked in front of the school and parents and students dart out between cars.
We the undersigned, call on the City of San Mateo to consider adding two crosswalks for Laurel Elementary School, located at 316 36th Ave.
1.) The first one to be in located across from the Main Office and at the drop off zone for students on 36th Ave.
2.) The second to be on Hacienda on the corner of Winway, between 36th Ave. and Hillsdale.
