Since its inception in 1913, the Federal Reserve system has operated without the checks and balances of Congressional oversight or audit.
Acting as if it were a secret branch of government, but in reality - being a cartel of private banks with their own agenda - it has the exclusive power to expand or contract the nation's money supply - and can extend unlimited credit through fractional reserve lending.
The existence of the Federal Reserve system is in violation of the United States Constituion, which gives power to coin money (and not Federal Reserve notes) SOLELY to Congress. (See

Furthermore - the Federal Reserve System is corrupt. As dicussed by Andrew Gause at http://www.andygause.com/ , the Federal Reserve system is an exclusive country club for the rich - which hoards the wealth of the nation with such perks as "47 leer jets".
We the undersigned would like to commend Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords for voting no on the bailout. We the undersigned feel that the bailout is one symptom of a corrupt financial system that requires more Congressional oversight.
We the undersigned are asking Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to initiate action within the Congress to investigate the Federal Reserve system.
If Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords should graciously decide to do so, we the undersigned pledge to vote for her re-election and to volunteer to the best of our ability for her re-election campagin.
