We, the Coptic Orthodox congregation of Sydney, would like to congratulate His Holiness Pope Shenouda III on His 38th Anniversary of His accession to the Holy See of St. Mark the Apostle.
Your Holiness: the Shepherd of Shepherds, the Ecumenical Preacher, our beloved Father Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of the See of St. Mark's in Egypt and all lands of migration.
We extend to Your Holiness our sincere love, our filial obedience and our constant devotion.
As we celebrate the 38th Anniversary of Your Holiness' accession to the Apostolic See, we congratulate Your Holiness and also congratulate ourselves for this great blessing which the LORD bestowed on us and on many generations. We pray our Lord Jesus Christ to keep Your Holiness for us: a Father, a patient Shepherd, a wise and a guiding Preacher for many years to come.
Through those years, we learnt a great deal from the teachings of Your Holiness: you instilled in us the basics of Love and Faith. You taught us that true love is in giving and self-denial. The true Faith is in obedience and submission to God's will.
On this blessed occasion we extend our thanks to Your Holiness for the great love and care you showed to our beloved Bishop, His Grace Anba Daniel. We also extend our thanks and appreciation for the love shown to him by our fatherly Bishops throughout the world especially our beloved Metropolitan, His Eminence Anba Bishoy, Secretary to the Holy Synod and our Reverend Bishops His Grace Anba Youannes and His Grace Anba Ermia, members of the Synodical Committee.
Your Holiness: We hope that Your Holiness is reassured regarding the Diocese of Sydney and its Affiliated Regions and that Your Holiness is confident that its affairs are run by safe and astute administration and that His Grace Bishop Daniel is worthy of your trust and love.
We appeal to Your Holiness to restore the joy to the hearts of the congregation of Diocese of Sydney and its Affiliated Regions through the return of their beloved Bishop Daniel in the near future and who will continue his ministry to his Diocese through your wise guidance which is of the Holy Spirit.
Once again, our sincere congratulations for your 38th Anniversary as our beloved Holy Father Pope & Patriarch of the See of St Mark in Alexandria and all lands of migration. We pray the LORD to bless you with many, many future years filled with HIS blessings, grace and good health.
