We believe that Australians were manipulated by News Corp’s one sided and biased media coverage to persuade voters to vote in favour of (Chairman) Rupert Murdoch’s preferred political party.
We also believe that as a consequence of this, some regions in Australia were not provided with any other alternative source of information via print due to News Corp’s dominating ownership of newspapers.
We, the undersigned, request that the Australian Press Council conduct an investigation into News Corp Australia’s media coverage of the 2013 Australian federal election campaign.
We also request that appropriate action is taken to prevent this from happening again in the future.
