The main reason for this petition is to stop the (CPF) from abusing their rights. Using blue strobe lights in their cars, doing traffic stops, road blocks and searching of people's cars. The reason for the community policing forum is to be the eye's and ears of the police to report crime or even to stop crime when it is happening.
We would like to get signatures of as many possible people to get the rules of the CPF given to all community policing forum people that they should know what to do and not!
And understand they are not a member of the South African police force they are just normal civilians so they do not have any rights to use blue light's or even do a stop and search that is done only by the law enforcement.
If we have 1100 signatures we will hand over to the South African police service.
