Currently the Yorkshire and Humberside County Athletics Associations hold separate championships. Both of these events are in decline and year on year less people enter.
It is now at a stage where some events are held without enough competitors to even give out three medals. Athletes will not compete and coaches will not ask athletes to compete in events where they will probably be the only competitor.
One Championship where all the athletes could compete against each other will give a much needed injection to two events that are failing to provide what the athletes and coaches require.
We, the undersigned, call on the Yorkshire & Humberside County Athletics Associations to Merge the County Championships.
