Background (Preamble):
Collingwood is without question short of ice time and surfaces for recreational use.
Collingwood Minor Hockey has to rent ice out of town to accommodate all its members practice and game schedules.
Adult hockey has also suffered loss of available ice to accommodate CMHA.
Girls hockey also has no available ice in Collingwood.
Towns with comparable populations have multiple surfaces.
Collingwood Town Council has backed away from pursuing solutions to the problem on multiple occasions, most recently looking into pulling the funding to cover the outdoor rink from the 2010 budget.

We the undersigned request that Collingwood Town Council provide a solution in a timely manor to the problem of shortage of available ice time for its tax payers, youth and adult groups and all other enthusiasts that require time on an ice surface.
