In March 2012 The Highways Agency plan to close J10 of the M5 to refurbish the motorway bridge. It is muted that closure will be for a period of up to 1 year, causing clear roads and potentially peace and quiet for local residents.
We say that motorway access at J10 should be removed in order to reduce traffic on the Tewkesbury coming into Cheltenham and in the north and north west of Cheltenham. We demand that the junction removal is carried out to coincide with the 2012 bridge repair works.
We the undersigned called on The Highways Agency to close access to the M5 at J10 Cheltenham, at the same time as making improvement works to the bridge at the said junction.
