One of the first civilazations to flourish in Europe was the Ancient Greeks. Dominated by different city states like Macedonia, Athens, Sparta and Thebes all were greek shared same language and culture.
Almost 3,000 years later the slavic nation of Yugoslavia collapsed and created different republics the F.Y.R.O.M. They're trying to steal the greek macedonian name.
