Family Childcare Providers are requested by Parents who don't want their children in a large setting. A smaller group, loving attention, less worrisome for them. We have been working under the 12 children rule, 6 for pay 2 for 2 hrs., and 6 no-comps.
With the assistance of Helpers, Teachers, Therapists and family members, Family Childcare Providers have set the stage for our future generations.
We take necessary training each year, we join associations, some take the next step, go back to school and get their degrees. All for the love of the communities that we serve.
We work long, hard hours, we are told what we need to change and we do it.
We, the undersigned, call on Governor Nathan Deal to change House Bill #354, lines 42-48. Which states we can only serve 6 children total, doesn't matter if it's for pay or no-comp.
The majority of Family Childcare Providers are against this Bill. The Government is disregarding Provider's ability to serve our communities with the tools that has been given to us.
Parents want and need our services. We are asking that you raise the number of children to at least 8.
