Background (Preamble):
An oversupply of Taxi Licences has occurred on the Gold Coast. Drivers are not able to make a reasonable living out of taxi driving, and many of our career drivers have left or are in the process of leaving.
On quiet shifts (Monday to Thursday) it is not unusual to wait for up to two hours for a job.

Petition:
We, the undersigned call on Queensland Transport and the Queensland Government to refrain from issuing any more Taxi Licences for the Gold Coast region for the rest of 2009 and 2010.
