It has been recognized by the staff of Outpatient Admitting and Central Scheduling of Comanche County Memorial Hospital, that there may possibly be levels of discrimination occurring within the department.
For the past 3 years, several employees in the department have requested higher wages. There have also been several requests for the director to take action to perform a market analysis of the duties that the department and it's employees performs, so that they may receive comparable wages and compensation. They have been told repeatedly there are no funds available for this department to receive any pay raises.
Recently, it has been announce that a new supervisory position was created within our department. This position was given to an employee to encourage him to stay within the employ of Comanche County Memorial Hospital, at a highly increased wage.
Since the announcement was made, there seems to have been a change in this person's title. From Supervisor to Lead Scheduler. This is suspicious.
Even though the position of Supervisor of Central Scheduling was given to this employee without the proper steps being taken to post the position on the CCMH job boards or the CCMH website for careers, for the required 48 hours, this is not our complaint. Our complaint is solely about wage increase and fair treatment.
We, the staff of Outpatient Admitting and Central Scheduling of Comanche County Memorial Hospital, formally request that our Supervisors and/or Directors thoughtfully consider performing a National Market Analysis of all duties performed by the Registration Clerks, Central Schedulers and Financial Counselors, and to act upon the analysis to compensate each employee fairly and promptly.
We also request that the performed market analysis be published for all in the department to view.
