"THERE WAS NEVER JUST ONE." As 2012's THE BOURNE LEGACY revealed, there is room in the cinematic "Bourniverse" for more than Matt Damon.
While Jeremy Renner sizzled up the screen in this latest Bourne film, we think Ryan Lochte deserves a shot at the role. He's a gifted athlete, as all of us know from watching the 2012 Olympics in London (2 gold medals, one silver!), so it's no great leap (pun intended!) to imagine his transition from the pool to parkour. And he's already begun his acting career with an eagerly-anticipated guest spot on 90210.
We think Universal Pictures and Relativity Media should strike while the Lochte is hot. #jeah
We, the undersigned, call on Universal Pictures, Relativity Media, and any other relevant parties to give Ryan Lochte a screen test for the lead role in the next film in the "Jason Bourne" franchise.
We believe that Lochte has the credentials and the charisma to carry this film (which you might consider calling THE BOURNE OLYMPIAN, or maybe BOURNE TO SWIM COMPETITIVELY, or something like BOURNE AND BUOYANT, but we'll leave that work to the writers in Hollywood!).
